The planned Katandra Community Park has sweeping 360 degree views of the surrounding areas towards the Melbourne CBD. Comprising over 4 hectares of open space for all in the community to enjoy, it will feature bike paths, large areas of terraced play and picnic areas, an innovative playground area containing custom designed children’s play equipment, barbeque areas and community meeting spaces.
We believe shared interests are great for the community. That’s why we keep evolving – adding facilities for all to share. Launched in March 2014, the Katandra Rise Community Garden has given Katandra Rise & Doreen residents an opportunity to grow fresh food, make new friends & unwind in a peaceful setting. Open to all Katandra Rise and Doreen residents, community gardening is a great way to embrace the benefits of healthy, sustainable living.

An iconic sculpture garden, the brainchild or renowned artist Henryk Topolnicki, is a landmark public art installation for the Doreen community.
Located on Marley Boulevard in the heart of Katandra Rise, the 4 tall river red gum inspired tree sculptures, made from rusted steel, are the cornerstone of an inspirational garden setting space for peaceful thought and reflection.
